Lillian Hayden Kirk is the sixteen-year-old daughter of Crystal and Stephen Kirk. She is the middle of three sisters, younger sister to Gwendolyn and older sister to Vivian. She is the granddaughter of Jerri and Barry Bartos, Shirley and the late Ken Kirk, Sherry and Michael Patten and the great granddaughter of Noma and Colonel Vard Freeman, U.S. Army Retired. Lillian’s extended family have been proud Arlington residents for almost six decades.

Lillian is a junior at Arlington High School where she cheered and played soccer, as well as being in the band. Currently, she plays trumpet in the marching, the jazz and the symphonic bands. She is enrolled in advanced placement classes and works hard to maintain an A/B Honor Roll. Outside of school, Lillian has played soccer since she was five years old, and has played the last five years with her club soccer team.

After graduation, Lillian plans to attend college to earn anursing degree and plans to work in pediatric oncology. She wants to continue her education to pursue the goal of CRNA, Nurse Anesthetist. While in college, she would like to continue her love for soccer and play at the collegiate level.

Being a two-time Leukemia survivor, Lillian is passionate about providing awareness for Childhood Cancer by coordinating “Go Gold” Days at her local schools or donating items for the patients and staff at Cook Children’s of Fort Worth. During her treatment, she was chosen as a Wipe Out Kids’ Cancer Ambassador. Lillian enjoys spending her free time hanging out with family and friends or baking and listening to different kinds of music. She likes gaining new knowledge and maintaining her belongings, such as working on her car with her dad. She has a passion for thrill and adventure rides, as well as hiking and exploring unique locations. Lillian is always excited to attend a live music concert or local sporting event. Lillian’s favorite summers include yearly trips to South Padre Island with family to play in the waves and soak up the sun.
